Susan Graham died after a vehicle struck her electric bicycle in Hot Springs, according to a crash report. Police continue to investigate the deadly collision as the victim’s family seeks accountability.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. Saturday. A vehicle struck the bicycle, according to the crash report. The impact caused the bicycle to run into a mailbox.

The vehicle then left the scene. The driver remains unidentified.

Her daughter, Samantha Smith, is grieving the unexpected loss. She said she struggles to process the sudden death.

“My momma should be here. That’s what I keep going back to. My momma should be here,” Smith said.

Smith said she still seeks answers about her mother’s actions that night. She does not know Graham’s destination.

“I don’t know where she was going or why she left so late,” Smith said.

Smith is pleading directly with the unknown motorist. She wants the driver to come forward in Hot Springs.

“With you being free, I’m sorry, but it’s killing us. You know, every day it’s a battle,” Smith said.

Smith urged the driver to take responsibility for the crash. She said turning in provides closure for the family.

“If you see this, I would encourage you to do the right thing and turn yourself in,” Smith said.

Traffic collision investigators review physical evidence left on roadway shoulders to identify involved vehicles. Officers also examine neighborhood security footage to trace fleeing drivers after fatal incidents.

Police have not yet named any suspects. Anyone with information about the crash can contact local law enforcement in Hot Springs.
