President Trump snaps at reporter Andrew Feinberg in White House exchange

Andrew Feinberg faced a sharp rebuke from President Donald J. Trump during an Oval Office media session in Washington on Tuesday. The tense moment stopped questions about park land changes that include a new golf course. The confrontation occurred before other journalists present in the room.

Feinberg, a reporter for The Independent, started asking a question about East Potomac Park. “On the golf course, sir, you own a lot of golf cour,” Feinberg said.

“Wait, wait, wait, wait,” Trump cut in.

Feinberg spoke again. The president told him, “Quiet, quiet.”

Trump emphasized the second word. He appeared to tense up during the exchange.

“What’s wrong with you? Are you a sick person?”

“Not that I know of, sir,” Feinberg replied.

Feinberg addressed the encounter later in a Tuesday report. He stated he recently completed a yearly physical and that it went well. Feinberg said he “was doing my job, and I’ll be back tomorrow.”

Vice President JD Vance later criticized the reporter on social platform X. Vance posted video footage showing the Oval Office interaction. He captioned the post by stating Trump eviscerated an imbecile journalist for misbehaving.

Feinberg replied directly to the online post from Vance. “If you’re going to insult me at least have the guts to tag my account,” Feinberg told the vice president.

Trump has maintained a contentious relationship with members of the press throughout both of his two terms. He often challenges reporters during formal briefings and travel sessions. The president previously took a verbal jab at a reporter on Air Force One last November.

That question involved files linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Trump pointed directly at the reporter who asked about the matter. “Quiet piggy,” Trump said.

The Oval Office serves as the primary workplace of the president of the United States. Press pool reporters routinely enter the room to ask questions during official state meetings.

Reporters regularly return to the White House briefing room following open press events in Washington.
