Missing Stockton Man Found Dead; Police Arrest Suspect for Homicide

Comments 0 Marcus Whitfield 1 min read

Stockton police say the search for a missing 74-year-old man has ended with his body found in San Joaquin County — and a homicide arrest.

The man had been reported missing in late August and was last seen on August 24. Investigators found his car near the 1500 block of S. San Joaquin Street, and on Friday detectives served a search warrant at a nearby home. The body was found in an unincorporated area of the county through additional investigative efforts, police said.

Luis Moran, 28, was arrested for homicide. Police also took Francisco Renteria-Sanchez, 28, into custody for accessory, a charge covering help given to a suspect in a criminal case.

The death investigation by the Stockton Police Department remains ongoing.
