Actor RJ Mitte died Monday at age 34 in Brownsville, Texas, authorities and representatives confirmed. The television performer was known for his work in the drama series Breaking Bad.

Cameron County Justice of the Peace Cyndi Hinojosa pronounced Mitte dead at about 1:30 p.m. She believed the location was his Brownsville home. He was 34.

Hinojosa told The Associated Press that she could not provide a cause of death. An autopsy will be performed. The cause is not established.

Mitte portrayed Walter White Jr. on the AMC program. The character was the son of Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston. That story followed a chemistry teacher turned meth dealer.

Mitte appeared in nearly every episode of the show across five seasons. A New York Times poll ranked the production as the best of the 21st century.

“Drawing from his own experience living with cerebral palsy, Mitte brought authenticity to the role and built a platform on disability awareness and inclusion,” Mitte’s representatives said in a statement.

His representatives stated that he used his platform to challenge stereotypes. The statement added that he worked to promote greater representation for people with disabilities.

A justice of the peace conducts death inquests in Texas counties. Official medical examiners perform autopsies to determine a final cause of death. Local officials submit these findings to Cameron County authorities in Brownsville.

Representatives announced his passing on Monday. Further details remain pending.
