AECI Utility Solutions is a specialized division of Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. of Little Rock. The division dispatched line workers, right-of-way specialists and construction crews. Those extra resources responded to direct requests from Alabama Power and Florida Power & Light.
Electric utilities rely on mutual assistance pacts during major natural disasters. Participating companies share specialized vehicles and repair technicians to clear lines rapidly. This process speeds recovery work across vast regional grids.
Officials said that additional crews remain on standby. These workers will aid other utilities affected by the system. The storm caused extensive damage across multiple states as a post-tropical cyclone.
