Stage 13 to present The Addams Family in Little Rock
Stage 13 Foundation for the Performing Arts will present a musical comedy in Little Rock this October. The production brings the eccentric cartoon family to the stage in time for Halloween.
The show is based on characters created by Charles Addams, officials said. Wednesday Addams falls in love with an ordinary man and hides the secret from her parents.
Moriah Connerson directed and choreographed the production. Bob Bidewell led the musical direction. The Little Rock show features Arkansas performers, a live band and energetic dance numbers.
The show runs two hours and 15 minutes. Evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 23, 24 and Oct. 28 to 31. A matinee performance takes place at 2 p.m. on Oct. 25.
Wildwood Park for the Arts provides a natural setting for theatrical performances and arts education in Little Rock. Community theater organizations frequently use the venue for seasonal musical productions.
Organizers will host a Wednesday Addams look-alike contest during the Oct. 28 performance. Tickets cost $35 to $45. Admission passes remain available for purchase on Stage13.org.
