Mary Johnson celebrates her 100th birthday in Little Rock
Mary Johnson reached her 100th birthday on Friday at a gathering in Little Rock. Friends and family hosted a large party to mark the milestone event.
Johnson lives at Holiday Andover Place. She was born in Massachusetts. She moved to Arkansas more than 80 years ago after she married her husband.
She later earned a nursing degree. She worked a long career as a nurse practitioner. She shared highlights from her past century in the Little Rock community.
“The highlights, I guess my wonderful marriage, my children, friends, and just every day,” she said.

Johnson offered advice for others. She said it is important to find love and laughter every day, learn to laugh at yourself and keep moving.
