Comments 0 Tyler Beaumont 1 min read

Dry weather continues across Arkansas this week with zero chances for rainfall in the forecast. Arkansas Storm Team meteorologists warn that severe threat conditions for open blazes remain in place nearly statewide. Southern Arkansas reaches the low 80s on Tuesday afternoon.

Skies stay partly to mostly sunny on Tuesday, October 20. Calm east and northeasterly winds blow across the state. A chilly morning gives way to afternoon highs in the 70s.

Temperatures fall into the 40s Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Central Arkansas stays in the low 80s from midweek into the upcoming weekend. The region sees mostly sunny skies during that stretch.

Overnight lows warm from chilly to crisp. Rain remains absent for at least five to seven days. Drought conditions continue to affect the region.

Outdoor burn bans and drought monitors track dry ground across local jurisdictions. Officials urge extreme caution with any outdoor activities that involve sparks or flames.

Residents across Arkansas must report any smoke sightings immediately to local authorities. Conditions stay hazardous.
