More than 4 million tubes of Brush Buddies toothpaste recalled nationwide
Federal regulators announced a nationwide recall of over 4 million oral hygiene items across the United States. The voluntary action targets multiple children and adult products due to manufacturing deviations, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
The total recall includes 17 different product lines. Officials provided no specific contamination reason. The FDA website states the items deviate from “Current Good Manufacturing Practices.”
Manufacturer Pritam International Private Limited voluntarily initiated the action on Sept. 10. The FDA classified the recall as Class II on Oct. 19.
A Class II status applies to products that might cause temporary health issues. The agency noted that serious adverse health consequences remain remote.
Most items are sold nationwide under the Brush Buddies label. The affected children varieties feature characters like Barbie, Hot Wheels, and My Little Pony. The recall also covers dessert flavours and standard mint lines.
