Three youth football coaches banned after Cabot post-game fight

A Cabot sixth-grade youth football match ended with three coaches permanently barred from league activities. The Arkansas Premier Youth Football League issued the lifetime bans following a physical altercation.

The fight occurred during the traditional post-game handshake line. Video footage captured the altercation. That video has since circulated widely on social media platforms.

According to an official statement from the Arkansas Premier Youth Football League Board of Directors, three men received bans. One youth coach represents Cabot. Two other sanctioned coaches represent Greenbrier teams.

The league called the brawl unacceptable. Officials also described the event as an embarrassment to member programs.

Board leaders strongly condemned the behavior. They noted the actions directly violated team standards.

“Physical violence, verbal abuse, intimidation, and unsportsmanlike conduct have absolutely no place in youth athletics and will not be tolerated within our league,” the statement said.

Youth sports leagues operate independent disciplinary boards to enforce conduct rules. These volunteer committees review field violations. They issue penalties to protect players and maintain safe environments.

The league said it remains committed to positive athletic spaces. Leaders will continue enforcing sportsmanship standards across Cabot and member communities.
