Jerry Lee McGhan sentenced in Warren child pornography distribution case
Jerry Lee McGhan of Warren received a federal prison sentence for child pornography distribution. He will serve 210 months behind bars followed by 20 years of supervised release.
The 31-year-old was sentenced September 24, 2026. U.S. District Judge John Thomas Shepherd handed down the punishment during a hearing in El Dorado.
Court documents state that McGhan uploaded illicit files to an internet storage platform. He used two separate chatrooms for the receipt and distribution of the material. His activity triggered CyberTipline reports from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Those reports were later sent to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Authorities also ran an online covert operation during that same period. They observed child pornography being traded within one chatroom. Investigators determined McGhan acted as an administrator for both groups. A grand jury in the Western District of Arkansas indicted him in July 2025. He pleaded guilty in March 2026.
U.S. Attorney Kevin R. Holmes announced the Warren resident’s federal prison term. Assistant U.S. Attorney Devon Still prosecuted the case. Three law enforcement agencies handled the joint investigation:
- Federal Bureau of Investigation
- El Dorado Police Department
- Arkansas State Police
